Question:

Is this a good way to stay in shape?

The YMCA I go to will be closed until saturday the 30th (its going to be closed the 25th-29th). I have been going there everyday since July 31 for 3-4 hrs doing cardio, using weight machines and lifting free weights. I am trying to get stronger and build muscle. But since I can't really lift for 5 days, IS PLAYING BASKETBALL A GOOD WAY TO STAY IN SHAPE UNTIL THE Y OPENS AGAIN? Should I rest? Also, should I do push ups and crunches and how many until I can go back to the gym?

  1. it's a good idea to take a "vacation" from working out, so your muscles can rest to max. You've only been working out for less than a month... so no vacation for you. basketball is cardio really... so if that's what you were doing, then perfect. If you are doing resistance training, then go find something heavy and play

    push ups and crunches? lol do your max, and right after, do 50% more of what you just did. a good way to get those lean muscles and desensitize the pain in your mine when you reach your max.
