Question:

Is this a healthy diet?

I am at college and I am trying to eat healthier. My daily intake looks something like this:

Breakfast- cereal OR english muffin with margarine OR omelette, 1 piece of fruit, yogurt

Lunch- turkey sandwich (with mayo lettuce and cheese) OR salad OR tomato, spinach and mozzarella sandwich, 1 piece of fruit

Dinner- pasta with grilled chicken OR salad (depending on lunch), 1 serving of vegetables, 1 piece of fruit

I don't snack, and I only drink water, and I try to get a variety of different fruits and veggies. Am I eating enough/ too much? Is this healthy??

  1. you maybe eating too little for someone so active, try adding 1 slice of toast to ur breakfast or some nuts in the daytime

    dont eat mayo, lots of c**p in that, try making ur own dressing, like olive oil and thyme or salsa, or anything else u can think of

    otherwise thats great, if more ppl ate like u, america wont have the health problems it has today

  4. That sounds great! I commend you, as most college kids I know live off the pizza and fries in the dining halls at their schools. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure that you have some sort of protein in your breakfast. Cereal is great, but add skim milk to it to make sure that you have something besides simple carbohydrates to keep you going for the rest of the day!

  5. What are you trying to do lose or gain? First of all just portion your food and eat every two hour in potion meals and drink plenty of water then you can eat what ever you want and not be afraid to eat just eat  

  6. Looks better than what 80% of most people eat.

    Though if you're running and working out every day, i really dont think you're eating enough (if you want to gain muscle and more weight).
