but to say we don't effect the climate is stupid.  Just look at all the pollution in china.  We used to have that here, and even worse, but we enacted laws to cut back on the pollution and now, even LA isn't that bad.  That alone is reason enough for laws regulating pollution.  And there is a lot more to pollution than JUST CO2

Unfortunately, no but their 'facts' are. The very idea that humans can effect climate changes is absurd. Don't believe it? Then make it rain..or make it stop raining..or make the wind blow...stop a tornado.

CO2 is not even proven to be harmful and in fact plants need it to survive. What this organization is saying is that 'polluting is bad, but if you will pay for it, then it's OK'.  Ask them "How much to spew a toxin into the atmosphere that will kill all living things on Earth?".

'Notjokin' is going off at a tangent. The issue is not whether CO2 is required fro trees. Even for that, there aren't enough number of trees. Even, too much of a good thing is also bad.

The point is CO2 traps heat leading to global warming.

The issue is about Carbon accounting.
