  1. Nope.  That's a white crappie.  They taste great - much better than bass!

  2. no! i'm pretty sure that is a crappie or a picture of my mother-in-law. not a bass though.

  3. Crappie, Crawpie, papermouth, slab.... yeppers. And 14 inches?!? not a bad fish. In fact, I haven't been crappie fishing in so long that I think I may go this weekend... very delicious fish... specially battered and fried with a little butter lemon sauce to dip in

  4. No, it's a crappie, or more commonly known as a white perch. Nice one though.

  9. Just like everyone has said, it's a white crappie. Here is a link to a website I use to help identify a few of the local freshwater fish. It shows a picture of a black crappie up top, but if you scroll down, you'll see a picture of a white crappie. If you use the drop down menu you can look at the largemouth bass so you'll know what you are looking for next time.

  10. Like everyone said,it's a white crappie. There's also a black crappie that grows to the same size and looks identical except it is much darker on the sides.Bass are longer and skinnier fish.I'd guess there's bass in whatever pond you were fishing at though.I've never seen a pond with crappie but no bass.
