Question:

Is this a lot to eat in one day. ?

7:00am) banana. or bowel of shredded wheat(1 cup cereal 1/2 cup soy-milk) or bowel of cheerios (1 cup cereal 1/2 cup soy-milk)

12:00pm)Peanut butter sandwich.(2 pieces of white bread one table spoon of pb)

3:00pm)banana

6:00pm) something not neccecarily healthy like 10 pizza rolls; or a T.V dinner; or like a half can of chili

If that's all I eat and I brisk-walk for an hour a day 3 days a week. How long will it take for me to lose weight?

  1. That sounds pretty good and healthy, except for the dinner.  I would just replace your dinner with something else, and include some vegetables.


  2. Fix up your dinner.  Warm veggies and fish or chicken.  Some brown rice or beans on the side.

    Try to slowly elevate your exercise and you should see some progress!

  3. Maybe dump the peanut butter, try cheese and tomato (low fat cheese)

    Yeah it is a good start, you probably want more exercise and you should try to reduce the number of unhealthy dinners that you have over time.

    Going cold turkey on a diet is a bad move and it is better to change your diet slowly over time.

    no, you aren't eating enough.  you're body will go into starvation mode and cause you to hold onto your fat.  u should add more lean protein to your diet and just watch what you eat.  when i was your age, i ate pretty much anything i wanted, but i knew when to stop, and was around 120-125 lbs.  now i'm 110 lbs, because i exercise more and constantly diet (don't constantly diet!)  just watch what you eat and you'll lose weight.  exercise as much as you can too!  good luck!

  5. that is NOT a lot of food. and loosing weight is different for everyone. once you get use to your brisk walk, try running. running will help you loose weight faster.

    But it would be good to have more fruits and veggies throughout the day.

    And have a banana and a bowl of cereal with milk not just one.

    And other options for lunch would be turkey on wheat with lettuce and tomato and a little avocado or a cheese for a fat. Or my favorite is turkey with cranberry sauce, brie cheese in a tortilla wrap.

    And if a banana is not a big enough snack at 3:00 try cottage cheese with fresh raspberries, or celery and carrots with some ranch, or peanut butter and apples.

  10. that sounds like a great start. Once your body adapts to this new routine I would suggest adding slightly more exercise to your regimine, but at your age, you will eventually loose weight regardless bc your body is in an awkward phase. So keep healthy, keep walking and it can only get better!!!

  11. I don't think it's a lot to eat. Make sure you eat a good breakfast every morning to get your metablism going. I do not know how long it will take, it depends how much you want to loose. In a few months you could 15-20 pounds, or more if you're lucky!

    Oh and just so you know, if you eat a lot of bananas you will get constipated, or so I have heard. Eat some other kinds of fruits and veggies too, like apples or carrots or peaches (I love peaches!)
