  1. yeah, it is, and i like it a lot, i sense some sorrow though, so channel those emotions into some kick a materiel.

  2. It is nice. Actually I have not seen my grand father at all. But I have his photograph.

  3. My grandfather was a man of very few words, yet he had a simple look that let you know he cared. He was always either working under a car, drawing, or falling asleep on the couch :) I was young when he passed away but am often reminded of him...your poem made me think of him, thank you.

  4. A giant memory and a great poem!  Thanks!

Voice pass bass is intriguing to read out loud.

  5. Yes! and I could have written this... I was five when he died and I remember him still. .. and.. I can smell him!  the tobacco of him , the earth.   Your poem has brought him back . Thank you .

  6. Yes - my paternal grandfather was really sweet - he would "nap" in his chair - and let me braid his hair (that was left on the TOP of his head). I was only six and his hair was thinning.  It is one of the warmest memories I possess ♥

  7. This memory poem of yours reminds me of my great-grandfather, Elmer Lee Kyle. He was always trying to give me a chew of his tobacco...I never accepted, though I wanted to at times. He was never that intimidating though, unless you were talking to him about politics. Then he thought he knew everything, and you were more the fool for not agreeing with him. Wow, you've thrown my mind into a time warp...thanks, seriously.

  8. This is a fascinating memory poem , absolutely alive with vibrant imagery.  The perspective seems to be that of a young child, intimidated and perceiving the grandfather as giant.  I remember when adults seemed like giants.  I have a similar memory of my own grandfather, a commanding presence but a wonderful, loving man.  Thank you for reminding me of him.

  9. Old people never scared me when I was a child. Now, I'm scared of children.
