Is this a metaphor? I don't know.

Question

When you skateboarded down the street at night you could hear everyone's hearbeat, and they could hear yours, sort of like sonar.

Please help me..

Metaphor ''this room is a pigsty''

Similie ''this room is LIKE A PIGSTY''

its a  simile...because there is a comparison by using 'like',.when there is like keyword its a simile...:)

It's a similie because it has the word like in it. In a metaphor they don't use the words like or as.

no, its a simile, when the saying says "as" or "like" it is a simile, b/c it is comparing two things. if it was saying, "your eyes are the sun" then it is a metaphor. it is not completely true in logic, but it is still comparing them, just without like or as. does that make any sense??? i hope so.
