  1. "My eyes are crummy" is not a metaphor. A metaphor is when you compare two nouns. You could say my eyes are blind men, or something of the sort. Crummy is an adjective, and thus, not a metaphor.

  2. no

  3. Nope, a metaphor is when you say something actually IS something else, like a comparison.

"The [first subject] is a [second subject]."

Lots of metaphors tend to be local slang or colloquialisms. I'm sure you know of many cliched ones, not to be used in writing!

And yes, "ha ha ha" is technically onomatopeoia.

  4. My eyes are crummy is not a metaphor.  A metaphor compares two nouns and crummy is an adjective.  So you would say something like My eyes see only midnight.  Something like that.  And yes HA HA HA is an onomatopoeia because it mimics the sound of laughter.

  5. No, this is not a metaphor. "Crummy" is an adjective. If it were something like "My eyes are marbles" or something then it would be a metaphor because it would be describing your eyes by comparing them to something else. Don't get this confused with a smilie which is a comparison using like or as...for example "My eyes were glassy like marbles". So, no - "my eyes are crummy" is not a metaphor.

Onomatopoetic words are words that describe sounds. Like crunch, bang, pop, ha ha ha :)
