Is this a miscarriage?

I believe to have conceived on the 3rd, but I don't know if I am pregnant yet. Yesterday on the 11th I got what I think is my period. It's bright red bleeding, and usually the start of my period is light and brown. I'm not due for my period until the 18th, and got it a full week early. Is it possible to bleed this much this early in pregnany, if I am pregnant?

when i had my miscarriage it was bright red bleeding with clots it was very stringy blood i also had cramps that lasted until i was done with the bleeding Hope this help sorry if it is a MC

Well, the start of all official periods (cycle day 1) is bright red blood. The light brown discharge you get at what you think is the beginning of your period is really the end of the luteal phase.

Maybe you are pregnant and you are having implantation bleeding? I'd be surprised if it was a m/c so early, the earliest I've ever heard of a m/c was one that was at about the same time the period was due, except the person got a positive pregnancy test first.

Or maybe this is a weird cycle for you. Take a pregnancy test in a couple weeks! Good luck!

Bleeding in pregnancy is never a good thing.  I would call the doc and make an appt and explain to him what the situation is and what your thoughts are.  How can you be sure you conceived?  it could be that your body is off track from stress or what not and that your period just started early.  Call the doc and see what he/she thinks.
