Thanks for taking time out to reply to my question. I am currently searching for apartment homes in the atlanta area. HERE IT IS:

I really don't mind living in an urban area however i do mind living in the ghetto which means i am not willing to live in an area where there's shoot outs and gang banging but my budget is really tight so i can't bet too picky when all i can afford is 600 dollar apartments

cant really say about that particular address. but its close to the cascade rd area, which goes two ways. One side is really nice, affluent black area and then it sort of goes down hill. All in all I don't think its shootout ville, but you may want to pay it a visit for yourself.

Okay, in all fairness, if you're saying your budget is $600 a month, you could be in a WAY nicer area for that much. Not to say that there's anything wrong with living in an urban area, but if it were me, I wouldn't wanna live in any neighborhood that was all black, or all white, or all mexican, etc. I like cultural diversity where I live, but that's just me. So I would definitely look around a little before I made a decision. Oh, and here's a great website you might wanna check out for apartment hunting:

it is not ghetto but it isn't beverly hills either. if you're a person that keeps to yourself then you will be just fine b/c no one will bother you. most of the people in that area are very nice and welcoming but just like any other places you might run into one or two people that try to cause trouble

Area is okay, especially if you are on a budget. Check it out, if you dont like it, dont sign the lease, or move elsewhere. Its okay to have a crappy first apartment when you are new to an area....it gives you a chance to scope out better places in the long run.

Personally I would contact Hometeamlocators. They are an apartment locating service in the Atlanta area. It is a free service because it is paid by apartment complex' budgets. They take into account everything you ask them for. I used their serivce when I moved to atlanta a few months ago. I also believe they have a promotion now where they give you $100 when you move in.
