Is this a normal period after c-section TMI?

I have had my period for a total of 12 days now and well it just got a little heavier 2 days ago and now I have little slimmy blood things coming out.Is it normal did this happen to anyone else?Should I call my doctor?

During my sisters first pregnancy she had massive bleeding after her c-section. Turns out she has a gene mutation that causes blood clots and complications. I'd at least call ask a nurse and find out what's going on---my sister went to pick up her 1 week old baby and decided not to b/c she felt funny and boom! she hit the floor. The day before she complained of soft ball sized clots.

I bled for about 6 - 8 weeks after my c section.  it got heavier if I was very active and would get lighter again when I rested, it was mostly pretty watery but remember that you had surgery so some clots are not unlikely.  If I recall correctly the doctor told me if I was soaking a pad in an hour then I had to go to the hospital because that's too heavy.  If you're ever concerned you can call your doctor and ask, they won't get mad at you.
