I was talking to a friend the other day and she said that all the women that she works with wax the peach fuss on their faces. I'm not very good at being a girl, I don't even know how to apply makeup. Is it normal for women to do this or is my friend working in some parallel universe?

  1. I don't remove the peach fuzz. I get the occasional weird hair that I pluck with tweezers, but the rest I leave. I have such sensitive skin I would probably have a serious break out if I waxed this off.

Then again, I'm not very good at being a girl either -- I don't remove the hair on my forearms.

  2. Until fairly recently, I had never heard of this practice before. I assumed that most women were like me in that they really have very little in the way of facial hair.

  3. Some women wax their upper lip.  I've never heard about the face before.

  4. If that is a problem they do it. I don't blame them. I would suggest putting money together for electrolysis.

If a man was born with size D b*****s, then it would be o.k. to get them removed.

  5. It is not uncommon for women with dark hair or those who have gone through menopause to wax above their upper lip or even to use electrolysis.  I am not aware of women removing all their hair from their face.  I cannot help much with makeup, I wear very little.

  6. I have no idea what peach fuss is? I am so confused, I m a lady and I have never heard of this phenomenon peach fuss. I need to understand what it is.

  7. Not for any women I know.

but then some chicks wax and shave their arms and everything which is reallllly weird.

  8. alot of women do wax or tweeze i dont have that problem knock on wood i would be concerned if she said women shave it off

  9. No, I think a lot of us have that unwanted stubble at times. So its not uncommon for a woman to have to get rid of the unwanted hairs. And what do you mean "you're not good a being a girl"? What constitutes being good at being a girl? You do know that there are some women who don't wear make up right? Just because you chose not to wear make it, it doesn't make you any less or "not good" at being a girl.

  10. heyy girls why do you worry too much about hairs after all they are only hairs and nothing bad and they are natural and a natural girl looks more cute than a waxed .........

  11. EDIT: I read this as meaning the hair on the cheeks ... many women wax their upper lip and eyebrows routinely, but not their cheeks.

Some do, but it wouldn't be the most common practice.

Most younger women, for example, wouldn't bother because their facial hair would be quite soft and fine.

Women with more hair or who are older might do this, but again, it's hardly worth the effort unless it's very thick.

    Cheers :-)

  12. I've never heard of that. Interesting. That'd probably be difficult, those are tiny, skinny hairs.

I know a woman who shaves her upper lip. This was an odd discovery. My Mom got dark upper lip hair and ignores it, I'm wondering if I should start waxing my lip now in my 20's and try to combat the problem before it becomes one... hah

  13. I think many females are striving to look like mannequins - all that's left is to shave their heads and eyebrows = ooops, they already pluck their eyebrows...  I just hope for their sake that this practice doesn't make the hair grow back even thicker.

  14. I have never heard of that practice in any culture I've visited, and I am a world traveler. Maybe your friend is working with part time girls (trans-gender)?  Because people like that must have a need for serious facial waxing among other things do to the high level of testosterone in their bloodstream.
