Warmth of the afternoon sunshine,

feels so good as it brings peace to mind

So hypnotizing as a trance-like state,

my minds a bliss with love,

as a secondary mate

Carried and lifted,

to a place I long to be,

The feelings of this pleasure

is that of ecstacy

Mind, body, soul become one,

In touch with the universe

Joined together by the sun

The energy unseen but felt from deep within,

Lasts only for awhile and shall return again

Returning at a time or place I do not know,

But the smile it left upon my face

Is all I have to show.

it is a poem, and a good one at that.

it deals with the escape of the mind, how it feels, how it works.

not many people can write about this kind of thing, e.g. me, i wish i could.

you should possibly title it, 'escape'.

Yes, anything written can be considered a poem.  It is really good.  I like the honesty that comes through.  It is so simple yet thought provoking.
