  1. It's a point & shoot camera or in the category of instamic camera. If you are studying photography, you would want a SLR camera. If you are only developing negatives, then I guess you could use that - but you won't able to control your speed and lens opening. Might as well invest in a better camera. You can get them from $100 to $200 with good lens.

    Here's a  sample:

  2. It is adjustable to some degree, but I think what they want you to have is acamera w/ a full range of shutter speeds & aperture settings.  The Pentax K-1000 was a great teaching camera.  You may be able to get one used reasonable.  One of the Canon Canonette rangefinders may be OK, but ask your instructor.

I had one of those cameras & believe me, it aint worth 60 bucks.  You can do better w/ a good used camera.

  3. Oh, for the love of God...please, PLEASE don't show up for class with that monstrosity. Most REAL photography classes require a manual 35mm SLR, such as this:

I'm serious...you will get laughed into the next universe if you bring that...thing...to class.

  4. that's a point and shoot camera, it ain't pink, but it is a point and shoot camera...adjustable .... maybe.
