Is this a poorly written sentence: You sure don't fit there looking like you do not that you ever did?

this is actually a line from a movie.

Is it just me or is it written too poorly to understand fully?

Does the person mean "you" don't fit there because you look so "good or bad" and you never really ever fit "there"

  1. ridiculously poorly written.. definentally some kind of slang


  2. Since it is a line of dialogue from a movie, it does not have to follow grammar rules.  I think it is not written as intended by the screenwriter.

    "You sure don't fit there, looking like you do. Not that you ever did."

    Out of context there is no way of knowing if it is a compliment of an insult.

  3. Maybe with some punctuation it would sound better, but I guess it would still sound somewhat slang...
