Question:

Is this a positive or an evaporation line?

I posted a question a few weeks ago wondering if it sounded like I could be pregnant. I still never have started my period (due july 24) and I have been taking tests. I am unsure if this is a positive or not. With all of the tests I have taken they first look negative and then about 8-10 minutes later there is a very faint positive. Several days have gone by and they all do this whether they are /- or the ones with the lines. I thought evaporation lines were colorless and all of these ones are pink- just very light. Can the evaporation lines show up that fast? Would they be pink? And would they be on all the tests? I hope you can see this picture. Our camera is not very good at taking up close photos! It is very light but it is there. This test was taken yesterday morning but hasn't gotten any darker since about 10 minutes after I took it and all of the other ones are exactly identical! http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/mrs-houts/Picture.jpg

  1. i would buy a digital one that way you would have no questions. i tried to look at it, but its hard to see....good luck though!

  2. looks like a negitive to me. But then the picture wasnt too clear.

and i was confused with mine, i thought it was neg and it was really positive! i'd go to a clinic.

  3. When I was in my early 20's and got pregnant with my son i tested a few days before my period was due and I did it early in the morning cause I couldn't sleep for thinking about it. Well the test looked negative I went back to bed heart broken. About half an hour later one of the many voices in my head (joking) told me to look again, I did and there was the faintest line like what your picture shows. I don't know about an evaporation line but I have a healthy 7 1/2 year old that that faint line prophesied about good luck and BABY DUST!!

  4. its hard to tell in the pic.  get a digital that says "pregnant" "not pregnant"

  5. If it showed up on more than one test I wouldn't think it was an evaporated line. It looks positive to me. Especially if you have more than one test that looks like that. The line doesn't have to be dark to be positive. It just has to be there. I would make an appointment for a blood test to be sure. It might also be worth the money to buy a digital test to calm your nerves until you get the blood results.

You can also go on FertilityFriend.com. They have a pregnancy test gallery so you can compare your picture to positive and negative test pictures that have been posted.

    Good luck.

  6. it dosent look positive but you never know could go get a better test i say First responce thats what i used

  7. to me it looks like neg, but try again in a couple of days it may be darker then.

  8. you know, I think I do vaguely see the positive line. Give it another week and test again. You may not have enough HCG yet in your system

  9. I used the same test when I found out I was pregnant. I had to post a question on here to because I couldn't tell. Here is a picture of mine from the day I missed my period. It was positive. I am now 14 weeks pregnant. Yours looks positive to me but the pic is a bit blurry.

After just one day it looked a lot more positive, your best bet would be to buy a digital one if you have the money. THat is what I ended up doing and it definitely read out PREGNANT.

  10. take another one maybe 5 days later

  11. This looks like a very faint positive to me, take another and take the picture against a white background.

  12. If I am seeing this correctly to me it looks like there is a faint vertical line on the bottom of the obvious horizontal line.  Maybe it is a positive. I would go get another test, one with two vertical lines.
