Is this a possible plan for an American Studies major?

Is it possible to get the highest degree one can in American Studies in order to teach and teach it in another country? How would one go about this and is this even an intelligent plan? Thanks for any help you can give.

Do you mean would it work for you to teach American Studies in another country? Yes, that's possible. I know Korea hires Americans to teach that kind of thing at universities, and some other countries are sure to as well. In Korea, you only need an MA for some positions, although a PhD would give you more options.
