Most likely its not pot. Marijuana "flowers" or bud, hardly looks like flowers in the usual sense. Pot tends to grow much taller, and flowering doesn't start until the plant senses the days shortening to about equal days and nights, usually late summer into fall. Some pot flowers can be tinged with red, orange or purple, but usually color doesn't develop until late in the flowering cycle. Stems are not prickly. The pin size brown dots are most likely a sign of insect infestation or some nutrient deficiency in the plant, and are not exclusive to pot plants.
