Hi, well I wouldn't say I'm stupid, I get around 126-130 in the online IQ tests, and I'm in the top classes in school. When writing i will often mix up "5" and "F", for example, the word "Five" I often put "5ive".

Is this dyslexia? Or a problem?

Thanks

  1. I do that too, but complicated by also mixing four with that and can make any combination when my mind is somewhere else.

I was diagnosed with dyslexia when i was at college but my spelling and handwriting have greatly improved since then.  It mostly affects my concentration, following conversations with more than one person, and my working memory.

However as my 10 year old has just been diagnosed with ADHD, I am begining to wonder if this  is my case too and the dyslexia symptoms were really due to ADHD.

If you know the correct digit / letters to use but just do this when concentrating on what you are writing, or not concentrating, perhaps you have a slight trouble maintaining focussed attention.

Everyone has little quirks, just laugh at yourself then correct it. no worries.
