Hi, I was just wondering if this is a good enough food to feed my rabbits or should i find something else. It comes in 25 kg bag or whatever and lasts a few months. I buy it from a farm & feed store. and these are some info about it.

Crude Protein min. 15.0%

Crude Fat min. 2.0%

Crude Fiber min. 15.0%

Crude Fiber max. 20.0%

Sodium (Na) actual. 0.25%

Calcium (CA) actual. 1.0%

Phosphorus (P) actual. 0.6%

Vitamin A min. 8000 I.U. /kg

Vitamin D3 min. 2,000 I.U./kg

Vitamin E min. 40 I.U. / kg

thanks :) I would hate to change the food, cuz it comes in a big bag to last a few months. I keep it usually stored in containers to keep it fresh.

  1. That is a perfect food to feed to a pet rabbit. It has all the essentials that a rabbit needs. A minimum of 15% protein and the fiber is higher than the protein.

This is a complete feed which means that no other food is necessary for the healthy development and growth of your rabbit. Most people do feed hay to their rabbits as an another form of fiber. This is also important when they are molting to keep furballs from forming in their gut.

Make sure your rabbit has cool, fresh unchlorinated water at all times.

Make sure if you decide to change feed that you do it gradually by mixing the new feed with the old feed alittler at a time until you completely switch it over.

  2. Sounds like an very good chow from the nutritional information.

Just make sure if you're feeding it to a baby bunny it's alfalfa based, and an older bunny it's timothy based.

Also, make sure in the ingredients listing there is no nuts, seeds, fruit, or corn.
