Is this a real address in maryland, lagos nigeria (175 mount hotel ave)?

there is a man claiming to be stranded in Nigera and wants me to send him money to pay for his hotel, because they wont except credit cards only cash. He says he has his plane ticket. I've been talking to him for about 1 month on IM and I believe he's trying to scam me. Please help

why do you even have to ask this question? clearly you know you are being scammed. if you are itching to send some money to help someone, send it to a well respected charity.

I can guarantee that the address is not real. There are only tow streets in Maryland that are long enough to have house numbers over the hundreds and non is named mount hotel avenue.

Scammers these days dont use genuine addresses. Genuine or not, Scammers feeed on the fact that information on Nigeria is not easily accessible. Thanks to yahoo answers, things are slowly changing.

I live in the same town about 10/15 mins from Maryland. No such street exists. Its the usuall scam.

i have a man and his daughter trying to get money from me from lagos too. we were dating online and he says he cant get out of the country without paying his hotel bill. i fell in love with this man but i will not send any money . it is one of the biggest scams in africa. go online to the american embassy they write all about it there . if he needed help the embassy would get him to the airport safely. i'm sorry .

The addres is real. All these scams work on real addresses. They know you wont spend $$$$$ to go there to meet them there. Please be carefull of your actions.
