Is this a scam, or not?

Okay, I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain yesterday, and as I was walking to Goliath, this woman stops me and asks if I would like to be on tv. They have their own little booth with about 3 people and there's this huge poster that says, "Don't just watch T.V., Be on it!" I said, "Sure," and they take my name and my parent's phone number, and they tell me to go take a picture and they make me hold a whiteboard with my name and some bunch of numbers. They said they'll send it to the producers or something and if they like me they'll call my parents and I'll go in for a screentest. They say its for two new shows, but one of the shows is already nearing its finale.... So, is this legit? Please check out their website before answering: www.gonnabe.com

BTW, the two new shows are called Kids Unlimited and Say What?

They're "legit" in the sense that they probably really are what they say they are ... the thing is, what, exactly, do they say they will do for you? And the answer is, "not much".

(Clicking through their FAQ) Here's what they say:

They take pictures of thousands of kids and say that the pictures "may" be seen by directors or producers. They provide links to places where you can sign up (and pay for) acting, singing, or dancing lessons. They're honest about the fact that only a very small percentage of the kids whose pictures they take will ever be selected for real jobs. They tell you that, if you ever decide to come to California to look for work, they'll help find you an agent (probably someone who pays them for each referral they make).

As far as their "TV shows" go ... hmmm. Try as hard as I could, I couldn't find any information about any place where these shows can actually be seen on any television network.

I don't necessarily think these people are a scam, but I also don't think they really *do* anything for anyone.
