I posted my resume on career builder and received an offer from a company in the u.k. They are called easy part sevices. They say what they do is as a company that sells special wheelchairs and whatnot. Their offer is to have the people buying from them send me checks here in the US, have me cash it in my account and send them 90% and keep 10% Does anyone know if this is illegal or not?

  1. That sounds VERY fishy.  That nails YOU as the 'criminal'.  It sounds like a scam.  It makes absolutely no sense for them to have you receive the cheques first.  Stay away.

  2. Sounds like a scam don't do it.

  3. dont trust just like that.  check with british high comm and then proceed further

  4. Sounds pretty legit to me.  Also, how easy of a job is that?  All you have to do is cash checks and send them some money.  It definitely doesn't sound like you'd be helping them launder money.  Of course, this is the hockey section and I don't know a d**n thing about money laundering or check cashing scams.

  5. It sounds totally fishy, but I'm not sure about illegal.  It looks more like they're trying to scam you.  Why would a company that doesn't even know you allow you to cash all their checks and expect you to keep 10%?  You should ignore it.
