I really want to become an actress, and this website says it'll send casting calls to me thru mail and email. It it for real? has anyone else used it?

  1. I'm sure it will send you auditions, but I would recommend getting an agent if you want the bigger roles to audition for. Usually those websites will send you stuff like extra work and music videos, short films, non-pay jobs, community theatre ad it's really hard to sift through what's actually good for you personally. None of that stuff is bad, it's actually good to start with stuff like that, but and agent won't charge you if you don't get any jobs (they take a percentage of what you make on jobs), they will have seen you audition and know what you can do and what you'd be good for, they get more legit calls (sometimes random people will make accounts on these sites and send out stuff that are scams or what not). But if you really want to get somewhere in the business, an agent is the way to go.

    Good Luck!

  2. Personally I won't pay for a site.

    Try Playbill.com

Or if you are going to subscribe to a website I would you backstage.com

Both of those sites have helped me tons!

Backstage has auditions for film- theatre and information on classes and headshots. = ]

  3. no; its real.
