  1. yes i think its a sweet as idea i used to be a state swimmer so from what i can gather from ur question your doing it for it to be fun as well right? because swimming and gymnastics can get pritty full on lol now i am a cheerleader so i kno both sides im only 14 and ur son is 8 so im not too sure about his age group tho. but i have seen heaps of kids get burned out in swimming. hey, i was one myself lol 4.00am starts really rnt my thing. so that is the only thing i can really say: to make sure he has fun. but i do think its greeat that u r doing this 4 him because some parents wood go 2 the gym and stuff which is bad because it overdevelops his muscles and it messes up his growing my physio told me that wen i was gunna go to gym but in sdaying that he is 8 so i doubt u would let him go to gym lol. but swimming ang ggymnasticts is good 4 that kinda stuff because he kant OVER develop his muscles because he is using his own body wieght. its awsome

  2. yeah, definetly.

but it will only have effect if your sons enjoys it.

if his heart is not in it, he will not try as hard and it will not have the same effect.

but seriously, if he doesnt like doing it, let him stop and find another alternative sport.

swimming will definetly improve his strength and agility, and gymnastics will help with balance. good picks.
