i recently found a small worm like creature in my house which was thin and reddish, almost like a thin earthworm but then it moved like a snake. we got rid of it, and today i found a slightly bigger one that was brownish. when i examined it after capturing it it had the sort of skin a snake has and was shiny and smooth with small markings. does anyone know anything about a snake like this? we have other bigger snakes around the area which are pretty big, can the babies be so small. around 5 inches long and almost as thin as a a line that u could draw with a pencil?

what should i do, since i have a child and a dog in my house and dont want poisonous snakes around. we live in the suburbs and have lots of wild life like this around.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Sorry need info please!

  2. I need more information on the way the snake looks and the region you are in.

  3. a photo is needed to i.d. It could be many things. Even an amphibian! (ive seen many people mistake legless lizards or even salamanders for snakes) But remember a tiny snake that size is practically defenseless. Plenty of people live safely around venomous snakes- they train their kids and dogs to watch out. Not that you shouldn't be careful. Just don't panic. They don't WANT to bite anyone.

There are plenty of ways to keep snakes out of a home or yard without killing them-just google the phrase "how do I keep snakes out of my yard" you'll get lots of answers about keeping away rodents, and making smooth walls.

  4. well there is a snake, kind of like your desciribing but where do you live?
