Question:

Is this a sprained ankle?

Yeah, my question sounds a bit dumb. I normally know what a sprain is since I've played alot of basketball in my time. But I'm confused with the condition of my ankle.

Cause:

2 weeks ago, I played soccer and during the game I hurt my ankle when I tried to belt the ball while it was right next the other guy's foot. Essentially, it felt like I kicked the ball while it was right up against a wall.

Effects:

For the past 2 weeks my ankle has felt like it's sprained. When I walk around normally I have the sprain feeling and can't really put alot of pressure on my ankle. But I've been continuing with sports and I totally don't notice when playing sports. It's only when I settle down and walk around normally that I feel the sprain pain.

Any ideas/help much appreciated. Thanks

  1. I think it would be best to consult your local GP. I'm not saying that the people on Yahoo Answers are not reliable, I'm saying that it would best to consult your local GP about it as he/she is trained.
