Is the statement true that once a person leaves college that they don't ever go back to college? Has anybody out there left college and then went back to college? I am thinking about going back to college. I feel nervous about going back to college and I also wonder since I would be 33 when I go back to college would it be worth it for me to go back to college? Especially the way the job market is today?

  1. Right now there are alot of returning students due to the job market.  My classes range in age from 16-55+ year olds.  Many people have lost jobs, need new skills, returning from the war, so just beginning.  If you began college, then dropped out many of the credits you have will no longer be valid.  You may have to begin as a new freshman...check with admissions.  In today's world a bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement to get ahead.  From the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

Good luck to you!  (classes begin in a couple of weeks!)  (college prof)

Choose a major that is marketable, but one you love.

  2. Do you mean people who didn't finish their degree, or people going back for an additional degree?  Because I did go back, for my Master's degree, 3 years after my Bach. degree.  Does that count?
