  1. I like the phrase "my best so far" - it has the sound of someone who's ready to keep working at it. As far as the time in general it's not great - our best guy (a senior) has run a 1:59, and our best girl (a freshman) has run a 2:26. But, different people peak at different times. Keep at it, and good luck

  2. honestly a 2:27.9 wont get you far...a good friend of mine runs a 2 flat and is just ranked 13th in the state...but good summer workouts and you will be down to a 2 in no time...good luck!

  3. It's not the best but your getting there.

  4. no

  5. If by junior, you mean junior in high school, then you have to get the time down some more to be considered very competitive in more serious races. Usually in high school state competitions all of the times are under 2 minutes. But, a 2:27.9 is a great starting block for more training. To prepare for next year think about what you did this year and improve on it. Only you can truly know the type of training you did for this year and by keeping that in your mind you'll know what to do differently next year. At a certain point, competitiveness in track requires you to go beyond natural talent and really push for results that you never thought you get down to. Good luck preparing to have a great senior season, just think of how much more you'll appreciate your times after some solid, tough training

  6. 1:46 is the best time buy a high school male.  However, if that is your best then it is a good time and keep working to get better.

  7. Depends how long you have been running. I'm a junior and run a 2:06 currently but keep working and you'll get down there.
