Is this a virus or something?

Everytime I go to these 2 websites I made It doesnt allow me to close that page. When I click it it gives me a thump noise, and when I try to close It out, everything else closes, but those 2 dont close. Could It be the site? Both of them are www.____.ning.com type sites, Is it that the site Is stopping it? or could it be a virus stopping me from closing those 2 tabs?

It's most likely a tool bar add in you have installed.   Yahoo toolbar, Google toolbar, etc can cause this issue frequently.
