Is this abnormal behavior?

It's maybe because I can be pretty paranoid but this seemed weird to me.

Earlier today my family and I went to a Vietnamese restaurant. My brother and I don't usually go there but the rest of my family go there VERY often. We all sat down and one of the workers went up to my 9 year old cousin and asked him if his dad was here (my aunt was sitting with us, so we weren't unsupervised), then called my cousin fat. After he left I asked my cousin what he had said just to make sure I had heard correctly. And he said he called him fat, like 4 times (the guy just repeated himself). Later on a different worker came to serve my aunt some more water and while he did that he poked my 9 year old cousin, harder each time but never hard enough to make him notice. Then I noticed a female worker point at me while talking to another guy and talking and laughing. They all stared at us a lot throughout our while time there and at one point my brother noticed one of the guys take pictures of us.

thats kinda strage dide the people sppek fluent english or were they out of country they might hve diffrent customs or somthing idk

Don't you hate when that happens?  

From your perspective, it was extremely messed up behavior, especially in a restaurant setting.  A restaurant's staff should always practice professionalism, it's a job requirement.  Based on what you wrote, the staff's behavior appears to be nothing but rude and unprofessional.  To call your cousin "fat" is horrible!  You can always report it to the Better Business Bureau if you feel the need to do so.

Then again, you are questioning your paranoia.  I wouldn't worry about it, but if this particular dining facility made your experience a not-so-nice one, then I wouldn't go back there again.

that's bad business. i wouldn't have eaten there. i would have complained and left with out paying.
