  1. Hello The D,

It most likely will not be a problem in whether you get the job or not. However, you should always maintain a professional demeanor before, during and after an interview. If the interviewer(s) are somewhat relaxed and laid back fine. But don't become too casual yourself. Sometimes employers use the "laid back" tactic to gauge your attention to concentrating on specific job conditions.

This is especially important when interviewed by two or more individuals. these are called "panel" or "group" interviews. Make sure you send a brief thank you note to each interviewer and anyone else that assisted you at the company within 24 hours. In the note express thanks, restate your qualifications and interest in the job and ask if they have futher questions or concerns about you.

Then after 2-3 days if they haven't contacted you, call the lead interviewer to inquire about the status of the job and your application. Again, restating your interest and if there are any questions they may have.

    I hope that helps,

    Heygee

  2. Very unformal myself would NEVEJER OFQEWRERJNFYOU THE JOB¬!!!

  3. Not entirely appropriate in a business setting.  You are up against other candidates who are striving to make the most of their first impression.  To refer to ladies as "guys" is not flattering and it shows a lax personality in which may contain or infer the wrong impression.  This is a red flag showing unprofessionalism.  (Depending on how detail oriented these ladies are.)

If your overall interview went well, you may still be in the running.  However, I would refrain from referring to ladies of any age as "guys".  Even the ones in your comfort zone. Not flattering or gentlemanly.

I would have opted for, "Once again, fair princesses, thank you for your time..." and kissed their hands.  Just kidding, bro. Good luck.

  4. It certainly won't disqualify you for the job.

It doesn't bother me, because I understand the intent behind it.  But try to be aware that many women are offended by the use of the word "guys".  It's a tricky one, 'cause you also shouldn't use the words "girls" or "ladies".  Apparently, girls refers to children, and ladies refers to those in a particular evening-oriented profession.

Something like "Thank you both for your time" is probably ideal.

  5. Yeah, I think so.  I mean "guys" is really more of a general term these days, I highly doubt that they would have taken offense at it.  Have you sent a thank you note already?  You're probably just stressing a little bit, happens to everyone before/after an interview, I'm sure you did great.  Hope you get the job.
