Ok... i have two different questions...

1. If I have Protector of the Sanctuary on the field (makes it so opponent cannot draw cards unless is it their draw phase) and use Card Destruction, or something else that makes them send their cards off, and draw that same number of cards... (i think another example is the trap card disturbance strategy). Am i breaking the OFFICIAL rules??? On wiki it said that you cant do that combination... but thats Wiki, and any crybaby can post that on there if it happens to him, so If it isnt legal, can anyone post a link to an official yu-gi-oh website that says it???...

2. There are some cards that do not include the same text as other cards of its same type... meaning... Witch of the black forest... or w/e it is... Some of its effects say that you must show your opponent the 1500 or less card to your opponent, and some dont mention showing your opponent??? Do you have to, or do you not??

3. Can you summon a monster into attack mode, but not attack... and then just switch him to defense mode in the same turn?

Remember... please give any links you can find to official rules sites... wiki doesnt truly count since anyone can go in there and change it, but if thats the only thing you can find, then go ahead and give me the link to the wiki... thanks all!!!

  1. 1. Yes, according to the official UDE website, if Protector of the Sanctuary is face-up on the field, you are not allowed to play any cards that would force your opponent to draw. There is, however, two caveats. The first is if you activate the card and then bring Protector to the field with a card like Call of the Haunted. The other way is through Morphing Jar, since it is a flip-effect you aren't "technically" activating anything.

    2. The older cards say you must show your opponent, but in the later cards and printings Konami and UDE expect that it should be just understood if you have to search for anything you must show your opponent.

    3. No, a monster can't change its position the turn it is summoned.

PS. the official rules can be found at [url=upperdeckentertainment.com]upperdec...

  2. 1. Your first question's answer is simple: Card Destruction would discard both players' hands, and only YOU would draw, your opponent cannot draw under any circumstance of a card effect. No this combination is intellegient, not illegal.

    2. Any card that searches your deck for a certain card ,under any circumstances (Reinforcement of the Army, Sangan), the card added must be shown to both players once it is added to your hand. Also, Whenever you do search your deck, you MUST shuffle even if the card text does not specify it.

    3. When a monster is summoned, it cannoth switch position except by a card effect (Book of Moon, Enemy Controller). Not attacking with a monster means nothing the first turn the monster was summoned. However, if a monster on the field has been on the field for at least one of your turns you can either enter your Battle Phase, and attack, or you can change its position, not both.

  3. 1 only you draw.

2 you must show your opponent the card.

3 no you cant summon a monster in attack postion then switch it to defense mode it the same turn.
