I have a girlfriend in the US and Iv been living with her for 3 months. I entered the US using the visa waiver programme. Can I leave the US and then come back for another 3 months and then continually do that? I have enough money to support myself so I wont be working illegally.

  1. All that anyone can tell you is that you can try. The VWP program was not intended to be used as a revolving door. Users of the program are expected to come to the U.S. for a temporary trip and return to their home countries when their purpose in coming to the U.S. is accomplished.

What you propose seems more like an attempt to prolong your stay indefinitely. Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas are places where people in your situation frequently go in order to come back to the U.S. in an attempt to get another 90 days.

Some succeed, and others fail. If you're refused admission back into the U.S., the Canadian, Bahamian, Mexican or whatever authorities are going to be less than happy when you bounce back from the U.S. port of entry to their side of the border so you should be prepared to show them how you'll get back to your home country in the event that the U.S. authorities find you to be inadmissible for another 90 days.

  2. Yes, you are lucky.

  3. You know the deal. If you are on a 90 day visa any work that you do is illegal.
