  1. First off, I need to make sure you understand the idea of a "Counter" in Yu-Gi-Oh. A "Counter", in reference to cards that place and remove "Counters", is simply a marker. Something used to note that something is being counted. So, for instance, when a card says on it "Remove 1 Counter from this card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap on the field", you would require something to have first placed a "Counter" of some kind on that card, or there would be none to remove. Some cards say this: "Counter". Other cards specifically name their "Counters", so that cards that place other types of "Counters" do not interfere with the theme. Spell Counters are an example of this; they are a common theme among alot of Spellcasters and cards made to work with them, but you probably would have a hard time finding a Dinosaur that can have them placed on it. Because it isn't part of the theme.

Bushido Counters are the Counters (things with which one can count) for the purposes of the Six Samurai, it would seem. They have never existed prior to "Six Samurai United".

So, when needing to place a "Bushido Counter" on a card, anything small enough to place on the card that you can count with will suffice.

I run Six Samurai, and normally utilize a six-sided die, which I roll to represent the number of Counters on the card.

Now, if that clarifies what the Counters are, then I have to tell you, the cards you removed are far more important to your deck than Hammershot should ever be. I do not know about how important the other two could be for you, but I do know that I would lose a lot of speed if I dropped even one copy of Six Samurai United from my deck, and I run three proudly.

If you do not understand the above, than I think you are better off not running the card, simply because, no offense, if you do not know how to use something correctly, you are better off not using it at all.
