The wedding is at 4pm on November 20th. I have no clue what to wear. I found a dress like the one in the link for $30 at TJ Maxx.

  1. You should be good. It is not too s**y or overly formal. Pair with some nice heels and a great bag and you are set:)

  2. if the wedding is indoors and its a younger crowd i would say yeah its fine but if the crowd is older i would look for something else

  3. Where is the wedding? Won't you be cold? It also looks a bit racey for an afternoon event.

  4. That's a little bare looking for a November wedding.  I think you'll want something with a bit more coverage.

  5. If the reception is inside, it is fine.

What is the mood of the wedding?  Formal, causal?  If it fits with the style of the wedding then you are fine.  Bring a wrap just in case.

  6. cute dress, but it'd help to know the location of the wedding. hawaii in november, sure! utah in november, not so much!

  7. the colour is fine but i would say  you should wear a shrug or a wrap with it during the service.  its pretty 'partyish' for a wedding though it should be okay for the reception.  but november?  brrrr............

  8. it's a beautiful dress!

    i love it.

but i'm not sure if black is an appropriate color for a wedding.

  9. I think it looks great but I would wear a wrap with it because its going to get cool after the sun goes down. Good Luck

  10. If you want to wear that in November in Virginia, go right ahead. Brr!

Cute dress, so what time is the reception? That is kinda an after-five type dress, so wear/bring a big shawl to cover up in, especially if the wedding is in church. They are in style right now, as a trip to the dress shop just proved.

I also saw the most gorgeous jacket, being sold as a separate. It was copper color, it shined variegated colors of copper in the light. It was  lined, had no collar, and some nice buttons. Very cute, very elegant, and it would be warm. It did not come matched with pants or dress or skirt. And jackets like that are in style, too. Look around, you might find one to coordinate with the material and color of your dress, and you could wear it to the ceremony and not freeze to death, and be stylish if you get cold at the reception.

  11. Can't you find a dress that doesn't have quite as much skin showing?  This dress is not really appropriate for an afternoon wedding.

  12. It may become a little chilly after...so bring a sweater. It would depend on where you live.

  13. You are not old at 30. The dress is fine. How about a nice string of pearls, and a nice black shawl or black jacket? And, a black sparkle purse to match.

  14. too dressy.... i'm the same age!

  15. yes, if it's inside.

  16. Is the whole wedding outdoors?  Just the ceremony outside?  I'd definitely wear a wrap with it or a cute jacket.

  17. Its a super cute dress!!! In my opinion you might want something with a lil more color! What color is the wrap? You can put a way cute color wrap over it to brighten it up a bit! wear silver jewelry with accent stones as well!

Even if tou wear just a white cover up and do colorful jewels that would be good as well!

  18. It's perfect...It's close enough to evening that it will transition well to the reception/dance etc.  Where a cover to the ceremony, though.
