  1. Yes that amp should do just fine. Kicker comps dont require or handle alot of power. Hope this helped.

  2. amp specs=

    220 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

    Kicker comp specs=

Peak Power Handling 300 watts, RMS Power Handling 150 watts

the amp needed will have about 300watts RMS @ the correct impedance (ohms)

kicker comps are SVC and can be 4 or 8ohms so if you have two 4ohm subs you will get 2 or 8ohms at the amp and if you have the 8ohm version you can get 4ohms at the amp

the lower the final impedance at the amp the easier/cheaper it is to power but the lower the sound quality also (but 2ohms is fine)

i would look for an amp that is close to my RMS wattage requirements because if you send too much power to your sub, you risk damaging it. The cone of the speaker and the mechanical parts that make it move may break under the stress. Surprisingly, too little power can also damage your subwoofer — in fact, it's actually more common than damage caused by overpowering.

Even the toughest sub, however, can be damaged by excessive distortion from a clipped signal.

When the volume is turned up and the amp doesn't have enough power, the signal becomes distorted, or "clipped." This distorted signal can cause parts of the speaker to overheat, warp and melt. Not good!

You don't have to match speaker and amp wattages exactly. An amp with a higher output than the speaker's rating won't necessarily damage the speaker — just turn the amp down a bit if you hear distortion from the sub and don't run the speaker at extremely loud volumes for lengthy periods. Likewise, you'll be OK with a lower powered amp if you keep the volume down and don't feed a distorted signal to the sub.

make sure that the amp is CEA-compliant also

with CEA-compliant brands the amps have been tested and produce of exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion

    here are the CEA-compialnt brands

    Alpine

    Bazooka

    Blaupunkt

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity

    JBL

    JL Audio

    JVC

    Kenwood

    Kicker

    Memphis

    MTX

    Orion

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio

    PPI

    Rockford Fosgate

    Sony

they have a bigger selection and better prices here, and they show you the RMS wattage @ 2 and 4ohms clearly http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i23_m...

  3. If i were you ill go with the Alpine MRP-M500. for $50 more those comps will bang harder

  4. it will probably work as long as you keep them at 4 ohms i dont know what the rms is for your subs are but I dont think that they would be higher then 300 or 400 so you should be just fine i think that amp would be a little expensive for those subs though
