Is this an accurate description of AFL?

Short for Australian Football League, an obscure suburban sport played in southern areas of Australia. Previously called the Victorian Football League, or Victorian Rules Football.

Before each game, teams must run through banners constructed entirely of toilet paper and clag glue and containing messages such as 'Go the Roo Boys' or other such c**p.

Playing uniform is similarly macabre. Each player must wear a singlet, shoes, socks and shorts so tight, if they were any tighter they'd need bowel surgery to remove them.

AFL is the only sport in the world which rewards people for failure, with one point given for missing a shot at goal, or hitting one of the large goal posts, or if an opposing player runs the ball between the goals.

Despite what any AFL follower will tell you, it is slightly above watching grass grow in terms of an entertainment spectacle. It does not have any significant following outside of the Australian states of Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania, with the more open-minded Australians (i.e. New South Wales and Queensland) preferring Rugby League and Rugby Union. Even drawf-tossing is more popular in these states.

The first International AFL World Cup was held in 2003 in Melbourne. There were more players on the field than spectators in the stands. Nobody remembers who won. Nauru are a powerhouse in World AFL, as well as Denmark, who hold the non-Australian attendance record for a game of AFL - 62. (That's sixty-two, not sixty-two thousand).

In order to play AFL, it is compulsory to do or have done one of these:

* Bonk your best mate's wife

* Urinate on a lady's leg at a pub

* Own a copy of 'Up There Cazaly'

* Have a name such as Wayde, Rhett, Jarred or Digby

* Steal from your team-mates

* Be an accessory to the death of a young lady by drug over-dose

* Be totally ignorant

* Keep a closed mind

  1. I agree with everything said, just beware of the AFL trolls who have no lives coming here to bag you out.

  2. you forgot 2 say u need 2 be g*y 2 play AFL

  3. No it is not an accurate description...simply the ramblings of an insane person :-)

  4. Yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!...

    AFL IS SO FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKINNNN... g*y!

  5. Your a legend mate, top stuff mate top stuff

  6. Completely accurate

    Well Done!!!!

  7. Good stuff Rere End, just a point on the 2003 AFL World Cup final, it was held in Hobart so the crowd was actually 31 (if you get my drift). Hey ease up on the Cheer squad banners, they have come a long way since the old days, at least the dunny paper they use now is new stuff!!

  8. Could have sworn I saw some NRL players trying to fit their heads up their teammates a*ses, ON THE FIELD!.

    But that wasn't the end of it, no sir, their opponents started doing the EXACT same thing, only making their "takers" push hard up against the other teams "takers". I'm assuming this was done so both sets of "takers" couldn't run away.

    I didn't know who to feel sorry for, the "givers" because of the godawful smell of r****m they endured, the "takers" because of the pain they had to endure or the spectators because of the pain they had to endure watching this spectacle.

    Still gives me nightmares ( In Tassie theres laws against this kind of stuff !) and I just cant help feeling sorry for NRL players & fans.

    I mean isn't that taking team spirit, a bit too far?

  9. god! someone has to much spare time, and no i dont think its accurate for all afl players tp have done any or all of those things. just because there are players who havent doesnt mean we have to stereotype the whole league of players!!!

  10. All this mumbo jumbo about league is this, and afl is that and union is so ths and soccer is so that!

    I think we all need to grow up and stop being so immature.

    Why don't we all just come together and embrace rugby league as the best game in the world and except that all these inferior codes are for homosexual wannabes who eat peices of poo for breakfast while wearing little girls dresses.

  11. Ha Ha I too hate GayFL!

    I would like to add the disgraceful spectacle of "international rules", which apart from being the most ugly sport ever created, also revealed the hideous character of GayFL players.

      They runined their only rep footy because when the poor small, amatuer Irish players dared scored a few points, they would rather beat the c**p out of them, than win a competitive friendly exhibition game.

      AFL is the ugliest, gayest stupidest excuse for a football code that I have ever had the displeasure to hate.  Words like "ball" and "paid" and "half-forward pocket" and "pinged" sound **** and are ****.  What other sport is there, where it is better not to be in possession of the ball??

      The Brisbane Lions are ****, Sydney is getting ****, and i'm glad because 45,000 people went to c**p round homebush GayFL park, and watched the **** swans get thumped by some Victorians in the rain, at a game we should hate at birth.  These people are simply misguided, and when the Swans lose more than they win next year, they will return to Rugby League.  :)

  12. yes it is. i hate the afl too and have posted loads on it. but this might just be the best one of them all. well said. But don't forget the victoria footy show, Sam Newman can say what he wants and the media cover it up.

  13. loll good work mate

  14. yes, very good

  15. Don't you have better things to do with your time. You concentrate on your game and will will concentrate on ours!

    deal!!!

    You always post things about Aussie Rules, i bet you secretly want to change codes!

  16. You hereby have my nomination for a Nobel Literature Prize for your outstanding contribution as written above.

    Well done, my good man.  Your leadership and bravado is sorely needed in higher offices

  17. If you think AFL is bad try watching NRL. it is the most tedious piece of c**p i have ever seen in my life and as for misbehaving in public, what did the bulldogs team go out and do a couple of years ago? yeah, rape, thats what. look if you dont like AFL why do you spend time on the Internet insulting it you fat PRICK

    Ps dwarf not drawf you retarded dumbass

  18. HAHAHAHAH u people from NSW and QLD r ALL JUST JEALOUS THAT UR GAME WILL NEVER BE BIGGER THAN AFL UR ALREADY OUTNUMBERED BY 4 STATES TO 2. And thats all rubbish what u said NRL players make trouble and **** just as much as AFL players. AND OMG some of ur retarded rules 5 tackles and we have to give the ball up ridiculous

  19. haha! spot on, that desciption also counts followers of gayfl.

  20. You do realise that more people attend AFL games than NRL games? Perhaps this popularity imbalance suggests that NRL is inferior to AFL?

  21. true to that. afl is so f@#king ****, i hte it with a passion. Please tell me how u can not kick a goal directly in front 20m out and u train to kick everyday. Explain this why is it when u run out of the field of play its still play on and they always drp the ball, hands like feet. It is the worst sport in history along with soccer and gaylic footbal thats a combination of all the S**t sports being soccer and afl combining it in to one big S**t sport with no skill. When u kick a goal straight and can catch a ball tell us y rugby league is ****. dont forget we can catch and kick better than u. and yous r also g*y running around in singlets and short shorts jumping on the ground wrestling in groups of ten

  22. I reckon you're spot on mate. lmao

  23. You forgot to mention that games are played at the highest level in EVERY state and territory in Australia.

    Unlike NRL which should be called Eastern States RL & NZ.

    And when League can get 7 million people through the turnstiles in a season, you can then start having a crack.

  24. why the **** would you post about afl on an nrl side

  25. couldnt have said it better myself!!
