Is this an appropriate outfit?

Question

I was going to wear this dress for the first day of ninth grade(freshman in highschool)

its a gray dress alittle above my knees, and is one of those tops are halters but the strings start like in the middle and are very thin they make kinda a V

we don't have a very strict, written dress code, but they said look in the mirror before you come and make sure its appropriate

No I don't think its appropriate. First off you should wear pants or a skirt not a dress to school. Second the a halter, spaghetti strap dress I think is inappropriate even if your school dosen't have a very strict dress code!!

That would not be appropriate at any school near where I live. The length is ok, but the fact that it's halter...that's where you mess up.

maybe just wear it to shcool and if any teacher says anything about it make sure you have a change or clothes with you or just a tank top to put under

Hi I am sure that the dress is fine and would be appropriate. The only thing I suggest though is bring a sweater or some sort of jacket just in case you have to cover up a little. The dress sounds very pretty!

it sounds appropriate but personally i think it maybe a little too dressy for the first day of H.S but if i were u i would prolly tone it down a bit with a cute cardigan and flip flops or ballet flats

I don't think that you should wear it and besides why would you wear a dress to school, most people don't
