Me and my sister (im 19 shes 14) recently made a poste, a nice poster, and left it out for the guy who delivers papers wishing him good morning. We went out at 3 am to put it out for when he arrived however the exact words were 'Good Morning Nick?'

I am worried it will be percieved as threatning etc and we also hid in the bushes so we could take pictures of his face to see if he was pleased with it, but he looked scared.

He knows its us, he see us and he see's us eveerynight at our window.

Have we done anything wrong>?

Thanks

  1. no you have done nothing wrong, but sounds a bit weird hiding in the bushes at 3am

  2. Certainly not,what a nice gesture

  3. The only relevant offence I can see is section 5 of the public order act 1986, behaviour likely to cause harassment alarm or distress, by displaying any words, sign or representation (in this instance by displaying the sign).

However, as it appears that you were doing this in order to exchange pleasantries then I doubt anyone will complain.

  4. omg where to start first of all he was probably scared b.c someone left him a poster and then he seen a 19 yo and a 14 hiding in a bush at 3 am taking a picture of him lol how ever if he sees you guys all the time through you window you might have something to worry about lol gist of it is leave the paperboy alone but no your not going to jail and buy some blinds

  5. If he knows it's you and who you are then he should be flatterd and quite please that someone went to all that trouble just to say hi.

  6. no, just very odd...you need to get a hobby.

  7. not legally wrong, but a bit weird

  8. no

  9. Your Paperboy comes early, 3am!

  10. You have done nothing wrong. There is no offense for wishing somebody a good morning. You may have misread the gesture on his face.

  11. Honestly it all down to his reaction, if for some silly reason he saw it as harassment then he could by law involve the cops but a caution would probably be the outcome if they took it seriously which I truly doubt.Personally I'd be flattered.

  12. you wake up at 3am to wish your paper boy a good morning? you must be very nice people i wouldn't do that for my paper boy lol.

also that is just a bit strange but okeeyyyy.

  13. No, but you shouldn't take a picture of someone without their permission. If he looked scared just leave him another one with a smiley face on it. A smiley face can't be threatening, can it?
