Who thinks NASCAR should go back to the old days of turning off your car and taking your time during pit stops.

You could like watch your favorite driver eat a sandwich, stretch, or even scratch himself all while the pit crews take 8 minutes to service the car.

Man, that would be sweet.

Just like in that one Dominoes Pizza commercial the guy freezes the race to get his pizza, and Terry Labonte gets out of his car, and so does Jeff Gordon , and they're like, WTF?! If I remember correctly Terry grabs a slice.  Then the guy is about to hit 'play' and everybody is like, "Oh c**p! Gotta go!"

sure and remove the d**n restrictor plates , so we can see these things really run what theyre capable of at daytona and taladega,,, 220+ mph laps

if that was the case,, how many drivers would have SLIM FAST, Ultra Slim,, or some sponsor like that ????

It would take away from the drivers stamina. It would detract from the endurance aspect of the race. It would actually be classified as an interruption from what the sport has evolved into. Bad idea, and not progressive thinking.

Have you ever spent 8 minutes in extreme heat or cold? It sucks! I wouldn't want to see a driver quit because (s)he parked too long in the pit lane.
