If my mom told me to tell the truth and to say, "yes", when someone asked if I went to the mall last night, ?

Is this an example of committing blaspemy? If my mom told me to tell the truth and to say, "yes", when someone asked if I went to the mall last night, and I said "no", would I be commiting blasphemy against my mother? Would it be "defiant irreverance" because I am disobeying or defying her by lying and she should be able to tell me what to do and if it is right? Even though I don't think that I was being disrespectful to her, could it be irreverance because I should respect her enough to obey her? Would it be a speaking sin because I said the opposite of what she told me to say? Or is blasphemy more like a contemptuous, insulting, or profane utterance against someone that should be held in higher respect? Is my example probably too wide of an interpretation?

  1. Lying isn't the same thing as blasphemy.  It's disrespectful and it's wrong, but it isn't necessarily always irreverent or offensive.  Furthermore, your mother isn't a deity, and blasphemy is an offensive statement about a religious figure.
