Question:

Is this an intolerable living situation?

The toilet is opposite my bedroom, and my dad goes to the toilet, about every five minutes, my mother nearly as regularly. When they go I hear everything they do in there, and the flushing of the toilet is doubly loud. Would you stay, because it's cheap accom, or get out of there, as fast as you can?

  1. I am afraid that QUALITY OF LIFE is everything to me so I would leave asap.

  2. Get a white noise machine to block the sounds.  If you have an otherwise good situation, why worry about it.  However, if you are over 25 and gainfully employed, it's time to move out and get your own gig going.

  3. It depends. That would really bother me. But, if your rent/bills are so cheap, maybe grin and bare it for awhile. If you have the means though to get your own place, I would do it. There is nothing like living alone. I would never have a roomate! Good luck!

  4. You fail to state your age, or if you are attending school. Obviously, those are major considerations. Realize too that simply moving out and into another location does not guarantee that you won't have to put up with other "distractions" such as these. To me, it seems that you need to develop some tolerance for the 2 people who wiped your snotty nose and cleaned your "behind" when you needed it. Someday, you may be the major source of distraction to someone else - keep this in mind.

  5. Wait until you finish high school, then get a job, your own place, and go to college or work on your own business.  You see, after graduation, there's not much reason to ever occupy that room again unless you just want to live with mom and dad forever and play computer games as life passes you by.

  6. I would blow a fuse, yes. If you feel this will drive you to flush yourself down the toilet, I would move.

  7. As much as I loved my Mom and Dad, I would have been outta there!
