I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I started off at 160 lbs. (5'3) and I'm now 178. Is that ok so far? My first pregnancy I started off at 140 and got up to 190 but never lost all the weight before this pregnancy. I really really really would like to keep the gain under 35 lbs. this time. I try to eat as well as I can but I'm ALWAYS hungry!

  1. your doing very well Id say, but don't stress too much about it and make sure you do eat enough atleast. you're going to look pregnant no matter what you do, but thats not a bad thing.

  2. Some woman just gain a bunch of weight when they are pregnant.  Ask your doctor if he thinks your weight is at an OK level.  I gained 50lbs with my first pregnant and 60lbs with my second.  Of course both babies were well over 10lbs at birth.

  3. fatten that baby up, sister :)

  4. Sounds ok but I wouldnt try to tame your weight gain, its for your baby.

  5. i think you are just fine, i am 5 ' and my pre pregnancy weight was usually between 105 and 110 i am 28 weeks and at my last doctors visit i had already gained 29lbs! i still work 3 days a week and am pretty active and eat as well as i can, but we all no a pregnant woman has got to give in to her cravings sometimes, so im no angel! but i think that you will be just fine!

  6. i gained an average of 35 pounds during all my 3 pregnacies, so i think you should do the same! goodluck!

  7. I am 25 weeks and have put on 30lbs. Feel better now? lol

  8. oh yea thats perfectly fine most people gain about a pound a week or more! i know i gained way more then that with my first pregnancy so your luck hun, yea just keep doin what your doin and you will have a healthy baby, and you will lose the weight soon, hope this helps

  9. your o.k

i mean just try not to gain so much lbs at the end. its hard to loose with ur second one.

just walk as much as you can and eat healty things like apples and grapes and stuff. u should be fine. no worries.

i was worried too but i did great!

    i know you will!

    God bless

  10. Yes, that is not too bad so far.  Just ask your doctor though.  I know it is hard to not eat when you are hungry all the time.  I ate a lot of yogurt. It helped when I was really hungry  but didn't want the added calories.  Good luck!

  11. Your weight should be the last thing on your mind at this time.  The more pressing issue of the health of the baby is first and foremost.  My wife gained just over 70 lbs with our first, and though she was incredibly uncomfortable our daughter was perfect when she arrived.

If you are hungry...eat.  Just don't fill up on junk.  Keep fresh fruit in the house along with other healthy snacks like carrots or celery.

I'm sure that it has to suck to gain all that weight when you aren't used to it, but you have to realize that it is for the baby.  Wait until after the labor to start worrying about your figure.

Good luck with the little one.

  12. i say your good =) with my 1st born i gained 40 lbs, my 2nd i gained 30 and my 3rd i gained 16. my 3rd, was born premature,my 1st i was over due, my 2nd, i was almost right on time.

    congrats on your pregnancy btw.=)

  13. it's fine.  Bottom line, don't stress over it.  Enjoy your pregnancy.  It goes so quickly so enjoy it while you can:)

    congrats!

  14. if you're pregnant you really sohuld worry about your weight until after the baby is born.

eat healthily and eat when you're hungry. after all, your body must be telling you you're hungry for reason, so dont ignore it
