Question:

Is this an okay idea for a diet?

i just want to know if this would be okay to set my diet as having a large breakfast and instead of meals through out the day have like snacks well healthy kind like fruit veggies, soy yogurt, low fat cheese, cottage cheese, vegan products, vegan dairy, etc.. whole wheat bread ect..

  1. A large breakfast is best.  Just make sure you are getting enough calories throughout the day.


  2. It sounds okay, but I've heard that the best way to loose weight is eat more often but smaller portions. I'm on weight watchers and basically everything that is high in fiber but low in fat and calories will make you loose weight a long with drinking a lot of water. I usually eat a serving size of cereal in the morning with fat free milk, or whole wheat bread. But i think that your diet sounds good. It's like in weight watchers every food has a point value and I'm aloud 21 points a day, and as long as i don't go over that i loose weight. So i think that having a big breakfast and healthy sacks through out the day will still cause you to loose weight. If you really want to loose weight I'd look into something like weight watchers. I've lost 15 lbs. in a month. Good luck with your diet!

  3. I think it would work because having more regular smaller meals throughout the day is good for your metabolism as it keeps it going at a faster rate. Having about 5 meals is a good way for your body to keep on burning energy at a fast rate.

    The kind of snacks you have said sound healthy and you would get the right nutrients from eating them.

    When you are a vegan it is too easy to avoid dairy products all together but you sound like you will be eating enough substitutes for these which is really good.

    However, it would still probably be good to have a fairly substantial meal in the evening so you don't feel hungry through the night. If don't have that problem though, just ignore me!

    I think from what you have said that would be a healthy, balanced diet to follow.

  4. You probably won't die from it! A large breakfast is a great idea.

    But if you're like me you'll end up craving sitting down and eating a meal, especially in the evening. It'll be a pain when everyone you know is sitting down and eating a big plate of something and you have to have a little cup of cottage cheese or something.

    You'd probably lose weight though, depending on how much of it you ended up eating.

  6. well a large breakfast doesnt mean bacon, sausage, fried eggs, pancakes, jam and jelly on bisquits, gravy etc...

    you could eat some toast with low sugar jam, yogurts are good, oatmeal without sugar, add cinnamon and maybe a spoon of honey..

    try granola cereal with skim milk.. some fresh fruit...

    snacks through the day, should be snacks, not junk..

    a palm full of raw almonds,,

    15 grapes.

    small apple

    half banana

    toast with a slice of cheese

    for meals.. eat loads of fresh veggies.. along with a choice of a cooked one.. try for bright green veggies to get nutrients. like brocolli, spinach, greens etc..

    for meat, dont eat more than a size the deck of cards is.. like palm sized.. and steam, broil, boil, grill, bake, or lightly saute.. no fried or creamy meats...

    eat 2 to 1 of veggies vs fruits throughout the day.. all breads should be whole wheat/grains..

    potatoes and corn limit cause they are starches, but good if not loaded with butter, but if you choose them, eat greens or a salad also

    eliminate all sodas.. this includes diet.. they are even worse

    fruit juices are ok if pure 100% juice, but more calories are consumed through juices than just eating the fruit itself..

    water, water, and more water..

    and move.. move move...

  7. Cant you people understand that Diet doesnt work?  The best way to get rid of unwanted fat is to go on a clensing diet.  Eat nothing only drink tons of water for a week. Some people go for 20 -40 days.  Depends on how fat you are. I go on it every year. for a week because i'm still young. I have a perfect body and I used to have this nasty stomach which was an emmbaresment. When you feel hungry its not really hunger. The acids touch the sides of your stomach because they dont have anything else to catch to. Thats when they start eating your fat. And its not that bad The first 3 days you feel terrible but with an determination you feel like a newborn on the 4th day. Ofcourse you are tired and sometimes you get a headache. Just go on that for as long as you want and just try.   I know from experience that it works 100 X better than all of those other diets. After this i start to eat normally again. Ohh and plus this diet will get rid of all of the bad stuff in you body That can kill you. I mean its common sense the body when starving gets rid of the bad things first. Your skin is better after this you look younger. and you are not really starving because whenever your stomach hurst just drink water. You can last with water for couple of months. If you are not menthally strong Dont Try this!

  9. there is a popular saying .eat like a king in the morning,eat like a poor in noon and eat like beggar at night. but don't keep you stomach empty.drinks juice,eat fruits through out the day.and drink a glass of milk daily before half an hour of sleep.milk  known as a balance diet

  10. well heres a good diet. have yogurt for breaky and some fruit alot of that,at about 11 have a little snack, then dont have lunch.around 4 have a little bit to eat and four tea have about 4different types of veggies and meat,and u can have a tiny bit of ice cream for dessert

  11. IT'S GOOD MORE MEALS IN SMALLER PORTIONS. BUT DON'T EAT EVERYTHING YOU WROTE IN ONE DAY :p OH AND BY THE WAY CHANGE THE BREAD WITH SOMETHING THAT'S NOT GOOD. OH AND EXERCISE EVERYDAY 10-30 min. you can also eat oatmeal and cereal. Good luck ;D
