  1. i think its dust

  2. It's just a dust spec on the lens.  I don't see a face in it, but then I have trouble seeing the 'man in the moon' too.

    and you're cute.

  3. Pretty cool.  The inside looks like it's nucleated or something.  Next time you take pictures, be sure to  check them right after you take them.  If you see what may be an orb, hold out your hand and request that it rest in your hand.   I've seen Patti Starr do this during her Ghost Hunting class and it worked.  This orb had an affinity for just one student, even though she had all of us stand in the same place but nothing showed up for any of us.  Then she had the same chick go back to that same spot, and sure enough, her orb was back!  As far as people capturing dust or contaminate... I have never tried to take pictures of orbs or ghosts ( not yet at least ), but never, ever in all the pictures I have taken in my life do I ever remember seeing anything other than what I was trying to photograph.  No orbs, no dust, no vortexes, nothing.  The thousands of pictures I have taken in my lifetime never had anything questionable.  Rather boring.  Hope you figure it out!

  4. i see this,

    <a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums... target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/... border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

a face with an eyepatch. im not saying its an orb, im just stating what i see.

    p.s i like your nailpolish.

  5. It's dust.

"Due to the size limitations of the modern compact and ultra-compact cameras, especially digital cameras, the distance between the lens and the built-in flash has decreased, thereby decreasing the angle of light reflection to the lens and increasing the likelihood of light reflection off normally sub-visible particles. Hence, the orb artifact is commonplace with small digital or film camera photographs."

Compare that with the explanation two comments above mine (now deleted) "... it's a portal that spirits pass through from their world to our's... I don't know about you. If it was me, I'd never go back to that place."

There's nothing to be scared of. It's a piece of dust. You're seeing a face because of a phenomenon known as Pareidolia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia ).

    MYCROFT: You're a creep.

JESS1287: Colored orbs are created when a water droplet creates a prism that bends light as it passes through. This is a common natural phenomenon.

  6. along with those eyes and mouth, I also see wings. I see someone sitting or leanging (I'm not exactly sure) on the chair behind the girl. I see a small girl, and she's giving a sassy sort of smile to the camera. She's just sitting there, waiting for someone to notice her.... But don't be scared, they can't hurt you.

  7. Ghosts don't exist , but you look good .

  8. That is the appearance.  But the first photo made me think that there was dust on the lens.

I watch wierd movies though and saw something like that in a movie called "Big Trouble in Little China".  Ok I'm a Kurt Russel fan.

  9. it's satan waiting for you to slip up one more time.

  10. That is an orb, for sure.  Cool

  11. wow your hot! yeh looks like some pattern in it, not sure sorry.

  12. Christina,

The camera used is a Canon Powershot SD1000. It is a nice little camera, but the flash unit is too close to the lens system. It allows for small particle light reflections. The fact that the place is dark and you only used an ISO-250 and a 1/60sec shutter insures you used flash for these images. This being the light source of the reflection. The orb is most likely dust from the "old warehouse" caught by the flash and within the focal point of your camera.

You most likely did not get orbs in other shots due to the amount of telephoto you used in the other pictures. The more you zoom in, the further the lens system extends from the camera and the greater the distance you are putting between the flash and your lens system.

Orb appearance is dependant on a number of factors relating to the light source (flash), the small particle, and the observer (your camera's CCD or CMOS). Small particles can reflect different shapes, colors, textures, and opacities. Thus, none of these factors can be taken into consideration for labeling an orb as paranormal.

It is also important to note that it is not dust "on the lens". Objects on the lens prevent light from entering that portion of the lens and thus reaching the sensor. The object would appear darker, not lighter, if it was truly on the lens or sensor of your camera. These lighter reflections are from small particles (whether it be dust, pollen, small bugs, etc) that are typically within 2-4 inches from the camera lens.

Thank you so much for sharing. If you ever need any additional photography assistance, feel free to submit photos to our analysis lab at PAD@grimstone-inc.com.

  13. Look out it's gonna eat you!

  14. Hello,

There are a few things this could be, dust, pollen, moisture. But I would call this one dust because it is more of a beige color. Usually dust turns up this color whereas pollen has more of a yellow color. This is caused by the flash of your camera reflecting off the dust in the air. Why is it round then? This is simple. If you look into your square flash on your camera, you will see a round bulb, and voila! That's how you get these things that people call "orbs".

    :)

  15. d**n, you fine

  16. I know that there are many theories for orbs.

    1. they are the spirits of humans

    2. they are the spirits of both animals and humans

    3. they are tree spirits

    4. they are totally new life forms

    5. they are a cluster of particles

There are many more than this but they are the main ones.

I have used video and camera in some of the most haunted places in England and have found in general that orbs are more common outside than in. I have found no evidence that haunted buildings contain more orbs than other buildings.

I do however believe that orbs are real and that not all are just dust or molecules of water etc.

unfortunately the object in your picture is 100% non orb. I know this as I studied photography for 3 years and spend every hour I have spare with film.

email me if you need help with orb hunting. jfmn24@yahoo.co.uk

p.s be nice to orbs they have feelings too

  17. It's dust.  Orbs have more of a glow and color to them.

  18. It's dust. As an investigator, I don't have much of a belief in orbs. And this has the look of dust, without a doubt. Especially being in an old warehouse.

  19. Definitely dust. Do not believe anyone that tells you otherwise.

  20. That's the hottest ghost I've ever seen

  21. To be truthful, it's dust. It's close to the camera lense. Also, considering that there is what looks to be an old speaker behind you clearly covered in dust except for a small mark which was recently disturbed.

Keep searching and I'm sure you will find an orb eventually, although personally I think everything is dust and not orbs. Weird huh? Especially for a guy who has had many many paranormal experiences from seeing my grandfather at the foot of my bed the moment he passed to spinning plates and most recently while I had my mini dv securely mounted to tripod it actually was moved about 30 degrees left with nobody touching it. That was weird I can assure you, and just a little off-putting.

  22. Definitelyy dust

  23. I would say you have a picture of dust.

You're sitting on a leather chair, so the dust will settle on top of the surface and scatter with any air movement.

Plus you're also reading a book. The tiny fibers from the paper can also take flight.

And, believe it or not, most dust particles are dead skin. Whether from humans or animals.

Please disregard our village idiot, Mycroft.

  24. I saw a fox did you say there was anything else in the picture?

Yes, I downloaded the pictures, changed the size and contrast. It is your classic orb, a darker color or larger and it might have been a concern.

    Edited:

    +++++

No there is not a mouth on it, use better software.

    +++++

I used a much greater resolution and  got a second opinion. It does appear to have eyes, nose and mouth. It appears to be grinning at the  camera. Not as funny as I had hoped.

Nice, I should give you my email address you can send me all the pictures of  foxes, I mean 'orbs' you want.

You look like you have a sense of humor.
