"As the convention was under way on Tuesday, a peaceful march on behalf of poor people by more than 1,000 demonstrators led to a brief confrontation of some of them with police. Pepper spray and teargas were used to drive the protesters away from the downtown Xcel Energy Center where the convention was being held."

Peaceful? Destroying personal property and harassing delegates is not peaceful in my opinion.

  1. "on behalf of poor people"

That's a weird way to state what the protest was for.

  2. No.  It was a minority that were involved in the trouble you talk of.  Most were peaceful.

  3. The police did over-react by arresting innocent demonstrators. There were many different "groups" at the demonstration, just like any other. There were rogue groups (few) who acted inappropriately by damaging property.

"Taken as a whole, however, the march, which drew roughly 10,000 people — 40,000 less than initial estimates — was a peaceful assembly, with the exception of breakaway demonstrators, some of whom are allegedly members of the RNC Welcoming Committee, a self-described anarchist group that was the target of weekend police sweeps." -source: http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/...

  4. Your link was about something entirely different, and the same folks marching were not the limited few who engaged in destructive behaviour.

yes, there is bias, but it seems to be emanating from you
