Question:

Is this any good for improving accuracy of kicks?

I'm looking for something like this only better;

http://www.amazon.co.uk/York-Ryko-Dual-Kick-Spinner/dp/B000N3T1LI

Do you know of any similar products that would help co-ordination, speed and accuracy of kicks? I'm not looking to build up power, as it is for point sparring, so I don't want a heavy bag. I also can't spend too much.

Are products such as this any good? What can you recommend?

Thank you.

  1. accuracy kicking is about control.  Mark lots of targets on your boxing bag, or have white or black rope hang from celling (or tree), mark the rope with red (contrast color) tape, 20 cm apart from each other, so you should have 5 to 10 red tapes with 20 cm spacing. Practice kicking different  targets slowly , once you have got it, speed up your kick.

    Speed is very important, because if you are slow, you target (people) will move, and you will miss. Don't forget to do heaps of sparring to increase your skills. Spend you watching good fighters spar, watch their tactics. watch dvd or youtube on the point scoring game that you compete in. Observe and learn..

  2. there are many good products out there.like this one.hand held targets. i buy all my stuff from centrury twenty one.my favorite is bob. short for body opponet bag.it looks just like a real person

  3. No this is not effective. Train by fighting others and learning the distance and lateral movements needed to land a kick well.
