Question:

Is this appropriate to wear?

My husband and I are attending a black tie wedding. I bought a dress last weekend, and now I'm wondering if it's "formal" enough. It's a silver, silk fitted dress with a deep v in front and back, capped sleeves and a antique brooch in the front. BUT, it's about tea length. My husband will be wearing a tux. Is my dress formal enough for this wedding?

  3. cany tell w/o  seeing it.  doesn't sound formal enough tho

  4. I would definately NOT wear that to such a formal even, especially a wedding!  I would definately find something more appropriate to wear.

  5. It is definately more of a coctail dress, but I think it is lovely and will look fine.

  6. sounds kind of trashy for a wedding

hes wearing a tux you need to be in a floor length dress with your chest properly covered

you arent the bride tone it down

  7. your dress is very close to white.

and the NUMBER ONE RULE at weddings is: don't wear white/anything close to white.

you'll take away attention from the bride!

this is typically why most people wear black to weddings. i'd suggest taking that little black dress out of your closet to use now. it'll be easier to pull off, too - this dress is very form fitting and has stripes, unless you're comfortable with your body...

  8. I like this one, and look at the price!
