I got second degree burns at work. And two days later the burn bubbles popped, i have one on my finger, and i had a couple on my thigh/leg, whatever u call it. well tonight i was afraid of infecting it, so i removed the dead skin of the burn bubble that popped, i heard if u leave it on it gets infected. so i took it off, and know its like red skin, with little red dots in it. and if i put water on it, it stings like h**l, so i put a bandgae on it. my burn bubble on my finger didnt pop, so i just removed the skin off it, before it popped and know i have a hole in my skin and i put a bandage on it as well. is this okay, well i get infected teh way i am? with bandaids......or do i need to tell someone. and should my job like compensate me for this. im a teenager. haha.

  1. no harm done , continue applying bandaid ,

  2. Go out and get some antibiotic cream like neosporin.

There is still plenty of bacteria around to get your burn infected even if you are not out and about.  Put some hydrogen peroxide on it periodically to clean it.

  3. Hon!  Never EVER remove the skin on a blister.  The skin and the fluid underneath actually protect your skin and help it heal.  Change your bandages often and if you notice any changes go see your doctor.  Don't put alot of cream or greasy type stuff on your burn.  If you wind up needing treatment frm a doctor they have to remove that stuff  that's worse than the burn itself.

  4. Sorry to tell you this, but you should leave the skin on a burn.  It is more likely to get infected when the raw skin underneath is exposed.  If you have some antibiotic cream smear some on the raw skin and cover with a bandage.
